  1. Process 01

    Stitch

    In
    Flat press sheets
    Out
    Stitched, trimmed booklets

Printed sheets come in flat. They leave as booklets: folded, wire-stitched through the spine and trimmed on three sides.

    Use it for

    • Booklets, catalogs, programs, newsletters and annual reports
    • Page counts in multiples of 4, from 8 pages up
    • Tight deadlines and budgets: fast setup, no drying time

  2. Process 02

    Cut & fold

    In
    Multi-up press sheets
    Out
    Cut, folded brochures

One press sheet holds several pieces. We cut them apart, trim off the bleed and fold each one so its panels open in order.

    Use it for

    • Brochures, rack cards and statement stuffers
    • Self-mailers that need glue-tac or wafer seals to survive the mail
    • Binder dividers, folders and manuals that need index tabs

Opens the quote form with cut & fold already checked.

  3. Process 03

    Pack & shrink

    In
    Loose finished pieces
    Out
    Wrapped, labeled cartons

Finished pieces are counted into bundles, shrink-wrapped and packed into labeled cartons, ready for your dock or a drop-ship list.

    Use it for

    • Sales, onboarding and event kits
    • Books, pads and sets that need protecting in transit
    • Retail-ready bundles and multi-volume sets

Opens the quote form with pack & shrink already checked.

  4. Process 04

    Handwork

    In
    Folders, inserts, cards
    Out
    Hand-assembled kits

The parts arrive separately. Trained hands insert, tip on and close each piece, then count and check every one.

    Use it for

    • Pieces too delicate, thick or irregular for a machine
    • Tip-ons: cards, samples, PIs and blister packs
    • Folders, sleeves and sets with mixed components

Opens the quote form with handwork already checked.

  5. Process 05

    Pharma

    In
    Flat PI sheets
    Out
    Folded, glue-tacked inserts

A large, thin sheet of prescribing information folds down to a small, square insert, glue-tacked shut so it feeds cleanly on your packaging line.

    Use it for

    • Package inserts (PIs) and medication guides
    • Outserts for bottles and cartons
    • Patient information leaflets

Opens the quote form with pharma already checked.

  6. Process 06

    Specialty

    In
    Printed covers and boxes
    Out
    Ribboned boxes, elastic folders

Boxes get magnets set into the board, close with a snap and go out banded in ribbon with a bow; folders get an elastic band to hold them shut.

    Use it for

    • Presentation boxes, folders and kits that should close with a snap
    • Folders, portfolios and kits held shut with an elastic band
    • Gift and presentation boxes finished with a ribbon and bow

How a job moves

Every request is read by a person.

No automated pricing and no auto-replies. Your specs go to our team, who check them against the process and come back with a price and a plan.

  1. Step 1

    Send the specs

Use the quote portal, email or call. Rough specs are fine. We'll fill the gaps together.

  2. Step 2

    A person reviews it

A person reads every request, checks the specs against the process, and flags anything that could cause trouble on press or in the bindery.

  3. Step 3

    Plan and prototype

Tricky jobs get a consult, a dummy or a prototype before anything runs, so the plan is proven first.

  4. Step 4

    Production

Your job runs in our Carlstadt bindery: stitching, folding, cutting, finishing or hand assembly.

  5. Step 5

    Ship or fulfill

Finished goods go back to you, to your customer, or out as kits and drop shipments.
